1949 Shoichi Nakayama (Founder) established Gotoku Chemical Promotion Partnership for the purpose of the production and distribution of chemicals, food additives, and the like.
1950 Launched CMC-Na (Sodium Cellulose Glycolate) by the name of T.P.T brand (Original proposer of the trademark, Shoichi Nakayama) by the authority and approval of the Agency of Industrial Science and Technology (of those days).
1952 CMC-Na (Official title of the food additive : Carmellose Sodium ) was listed in the Japanese Standards of Food Additives First edition and authorized and approved as the food additive. Launched CMC-Na by the name of Food Additive T.P.T. to go through the food industry in earnest.
1961 As a leader, researched and developed Disintegrant CMC-Ca (Official title of the food additive : Carmellose Calcium) to accomplish commercialization. Placed it on the market by the name of E.C.G-505 (Original proposer of the trademark, Shoichi Nakayama), kicking off market cultivation as the sole distributor to extend sales activities nationwide.
1963 CMC-Ca (Carmellose Calcium) was listed in the Japanese Standards of Food Additives Fourth edition. Authorized and approved as the food additive, it was put on the market by the name of Food Additive E.C.G-505.(Gotoku Chemical Promotion, the sole distributor)
1965

Obtained the patent license of Disintegrant CMC-Ca and started exclusive selling nationwide as the sole distributor of CMC-Ca (E.C.G-505) toward market expansion.

1966 CMC-Ca (Official title by the Japanese Pharmacopoeia :Calcium Carboxymethylcellulose ) was listed in the Japanese Pharmacopoeia Seventh edition Part‡U,being authorized and approved as one of the JP drugs.

1967

Originally researched and developed Disintegrant CMC-H (Carmellose) to accomplish commercialization. Placed it on the market by the name of NS-300 brand (Original proposer of the trademark, Shoichi Nakayama), advancing market cultivation as the sole distributor with the goal of nationwide sales.
1982 Started selling Disintegrant E.C.G-505 as the JP drug. (Gotoku Chemical Promotion, the sole distributor)
Won No.1 market share in the disintegrant sector along with the broad expansion of the pharmaceutical industry market.
1983 CMC-H (Official title by the Japanese Standards for Pharmaceutical Ingredients:Carboxymethyl cellulose) was listed in the Japanese Standards for Pharmaceutical Ingredients (Abbreviated name : JSPI), being authorized and approved as the quasi JP drug.
1984

Launched Disintegrant NS-300(CMC-H) as the JSPI drug (authorized and approved by the Japanese Standards for Pharmaceutical Ingredients).

1985 Founder, Shoichi Nakayama acceded to Representative Partner & Chairman. Yukihiro Nakayama was designated as Representative Partner & President (experienced in Accountants Manager, Business Manager and Vice President).

Disintegrant E.C.G-505 (CMC-Ca) was listed in USP/NF with international appreciation.

1986 CMC-H (Official title by the Japanese Pharmacopoeia: Carboxymethylcellulose) was listed in the Japanese Pharmacopoeia, authorized and approved as the JP drug.
1987 Started selling Disintegrant NS-300 (CMC-H) as the JP drug. (Gotoku Chemical Promotion, the sole distributor) NS-300 gained a favorable position of the efficient disintegrant.
1989 On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the foundation, Partnership was reorganized into Company Limited. Gotoku Chemical Co.,Ltd. newly started.
Yukihiro Nakayama acceded to Representative Director & President.
1991 Disintegrant E.C.G-505 (CMC-Ca) was accepted as one of "the ICH Harmonisation Monographs", the pharmaceutical excipients of the tripolar world: Japan, America and Europe (25 items of most frequently used disintegrants in the world).
1992 Came into action as one of the founding members of the Japan Pharmaceutical Excipients Council. Aiming at International Harmonisation together with Domestic Harmonisation.
1993 Disintegrant E.C.G-505 (CMC-Ca), time-proven in Europe, was listed in EP.
